PE 14: Premiere Elements 14 And Adobe Revel

INTRODUCTION

Premiere Elements 13/13.1 is the current version of the program. It is expected that Adobe will be releasing a new version (assumed named Premiere Elements 14) around September October 2015.

Typically Adobe does not release the new features of the new version until the moment of release of the new version. But, it seems that one of the features that will be removed from this new version involves Adobe Revel.

This morning I found the following email in my Inbox.

Because you're a valued Elements customer, we want to let you know
that Adobe Revel will not be part of the Elements Organizer in the next
version of Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere
Elements.

You can continue to use Revel in Elements versions 12 and 13.

If you upgrade to the next version of Elements when it's released,
please note that the Organizer won't offer Mobile Albums or enable
you to sync and store your media to your Revel account. Refer to
the FAQ for instructions on how to download your Revel photos
and videos so you can manage them in the next version of
Elements, and for answers to your other important questions. Rest
assured that your original photos and videos are safe and can be
easily downloaded to your computer or external hard drive.

No doubt this impacts Premiere Elements Add Media/Elements Organizer choices. But, it is not understood at this time how this affects Publish+Share/Private Web Albums which involves the upload of the Premiere Elements Timeline content to Adobe Revel as an AVCHD.mp4 1280 x 720 file.

ISSUE

What does all this mean to the Premiere Elements 12 and 13 users who are using Adobe Revel features of those programs, and what does it mean to those who move on to Premiere Elements 14 expected to be released September October 2015?

SOLUTION

Premiere Elements 12 and 13 Adobe Revel features appear unaffected by this change in Adobe Revel services in the upcoming Premiere Elements 14. The FAQ made available by The Elements Team gives detailed instructions on

COMMENTARY

More information on this will be posted here when it becomes available.
In the FAQ cited, the Elements Team points to the why for this change when it writes

When we introduced the Creative Cloud Photography Plan, it made sense to consolidate all mobile and cloud functionality within that plan and focus Elements on making it really easy to edit and share your photos and videos from your desktop.
